The
CADI differences - introduction:
First of all, CADI is not a simple
piece of software that was thrown
in for free with your digital x-ray
purchase. We knew what we wanted to
accomplish with CADI, so it was designed
with many unique features.
• CADI is an independent universal
imaging platform;
• Your
office will have only one program
to learn and use;
• You
will obtain extraordinary image quality;
• Most processes are automated
for speed and simplicity;
•
All images are easy to find and retrieve;
• Images can be viewed and presented
in a variety of ways. |

Universal
imaging platform:
CADI can be used with virtually ANY
digital x-ray equipment on the market.
It is compatible with almost all practice
management systems, intra-oral cameras,
digital cameras, and other products.
• You are not limited to
selecting cameras and x-ray equipment
from a single vendor and can use multiple
brands simultaneously. It’s
easy for you to update as new technologies
become available and you don’t
have to worry about all the images
that are in your patient files.
• You don’t have to learn
to use new software when you buy new
equipment.
• You don’t
have to keep old software upgraded
and running just so you can access
old images.
• You don’t
have to look through different software
to find the right image. |

One
program to learn and use:
CADI will allow your office to use
digital x-ray sensors, a digital panoramic
unit, intra-oral cameras, a digital
camera, patient education and more.
This may be the feature you appreciate
most once you start using CADI. One
program does it all.
•
It’s easy for you to save, retrieve
and present images from any source.
• You will save considerable
time and dollars on staff training.
• You will have only one
program to install, configure, maintain
and update.
• With only
one program, it’s easier to
get to know CADI well and fully benefit
from its advanced features. |

Extraordinary
image quality:
X-rays:
The quality of an x-ray image is a
combination of the sensor, or phosphor
plate, and the software. CADI uses
powerful tools commonly found only
in medical imaging to bring optimal
results with any digital x-ray equipment.
Users who upgrade to CADI often claim
that x-ray images are 30%-50% better
with CADI than with their previous
software.
CADI starts by keeping all the raw
data from the x-ray sensor. Many other
systems often cut off useful x-ray
data, as their software doesn’t
use it. CADI then offers a unique
Windowing tool that permits the user
the view through different greyscale
presentations of this data. You can
easily eliminate the parts of an image
that don’t contribute to diagnostics.
You can have several different views
of the same image. It is a highly
useful and unique feature.
CADI also offers a host of x-ray filters
that can be combined at various levels
and then preset for automation. This
makes it easy for a novice to learn
to use CADI and allows an advanced
user unparalleled flexibility. It
allows CADI to offer extraordinary
image quality with a variety of different
sensors and phosphor plate systems.
Sensors with different resolutions,
dynamic ranges, and signal qualities
require different filtering combinations
– can CADI is built by design
to deal with these variables. |

Extraordinary
Image Quality:
Intra-oral
camera:
For intra-oral camera images, CADI
makes full use of the power of WDM
- Windows Direct Media - to offer
crisp and clear intra oral camera
images that are stored directly to
PC. There is no need to freeze every
image first with the camera before
saving it.
Intra oral camera images also benefit
from the use of automated optimization
filters that remove annoying video
interlacing when freezing video signals.
These filters also improve clarity,
brightness and contrast. |

Automated
Processes:
Whether you’re taking x-rays,
digital or intra-oral cameras images,
we’ve made it easy and faster
for you and your staff. Processes
are automated and the resulting images
are oriented, stored, named by tooth
number and placed in an appropriate
mount for fast identification and
retrieval. |

Easy
image access and retrieval:
Every x-ray and image saved in CADI
is stored to a location that corresponds
to a tooth number and media type of
that image. It’s easy and instant
to locate any intra-oral camera image
or x-ray for any specific tooth taken
on any date. You can view bitewing
history with a unique image scroll
feature. Facial and cosmetic images,
simulations, panoramic x-rays, etc.
are all stored to specific locations
for easy retrieval and viewing. |
